Full ThrottleLatest Happenings At Misbehavin-RCBehind The Scenes You may have noticed that last week the site was offline several times. Some of those occurrences even lasted a couple of hours. This was due to circumstances beyond my control, but this should no longer be a problem. My site is hosted on one of the servers I maintain for work. Last week they were upgrading some power switchover equipment that takes us from the local electric company to a standby generator in the event of a power outage. While this equipment switchover was underway, we were completely severed from the power company feeds and running on a different set of generators besides the standby generator. We operated this way for several days in this manner. The outages occurred at a few points when this building was completely without power for an extended period of time. This could have been because the generator needed minor servicing, or the electrical system had to be completely absent of power due to what they were working on. As long as those situations didn't last longer than 30 minutes, everything could continue to stay running because of the UPS units powering the server racks. However if the power was off for longer than that, or the batteries in the UPS units were not allowed to fully recharge between episodes, I was forced to bring the servers down to avoid data loss or other potential problems. However this changeover is over now, so things should be back to normal.
Latest Updates This latest update isn't as big with technical articles as it is with pictures and images. The biggest addition is probably the Desktop Wallpaper area in the Images section. As I paint more bodies for my own trucks I'll continue to update this area. I may even make some desktop wallpaper of some of the bodies that I end up selling on eBay as well. Of course along with the wallpaper, you'll notice several other shots of the new body in the Paint Shop section and in the Garage section for my T-Maxx. I've also snapped some shots with the body off, so you can get a good look at the Integy shocks. I must say they look very sharp on a T-Maxx. The last item regarding my new body is that a couple pictures of it have been placed on the Home Page. The truck image on the Home Page will be chosen at random each time you view it, so at times the new Jeep body will be the one that's shown there. I've added some new links in the Links section, and the Fuel/Oil Mixing section now has a picture of the synthetic and castor oil that I use as well. I've also added the Pro-Line and SuperMaxx steering kits to the Maxx servo saver sections, and the KO Propo failsafe to the failsafe section. One other change I should mention is that the Cirrus metal gear servo links have been removed. The servo itself is still listed as a replacement servo, but it appears that it is being discontinued and I have no supply source to point to anymore.
Latest Purchases Obviously the biggest news on this front is my new Jeep CJ8 body for my T-Maxx. This particular body by Pro-Line is the toughest I've ever come across. Extremely thick lexan, to the point that it's almost difficult to cut out. However the results are very much worth it, as once it's installed it is a very durable choice for a T-Maxx or a Stampede. That's right, I said Stampede. Even though this body was made for a Maxx truck, it's also perfectly suited for a Stampede. In fact it's probably one of the best Maxx bodies I've ever seen used on a Stampede. To catch a peek of it on a Stampede, check out the pictures in the Paint Shop section of the site.
Until next time, keep on bashin'!!!
