Mike's StampedeMy dad's Stampede was my second Stampede purchase off of ebay. It was his birthday present from Mary, Zac and I. Even my mom contributed to it by purchasing the body and paint. Zac donated his Dynamite Mega Peak 1 charger and a couple of battery packs. Also since Zac now has a Super Rooster speed control, his Dynamite Power Pulse was donated to this Stampede as well. While this Stampede didn't come loaded up with aftermarket parts like Mary's Stampede did, it still was in good shape. It also came with Traxxas Big Bore shocks in the rear, and some, as yet, unidentified aluminum shocks in the front. I did, however, had to add a slipper clutch to this Stampede. I'm not sure if it was old enough to have not had one from the factory, or if the previous owner decided to remove it and run without it. There were a few other worn parts, but nothing I didn't have on hand in my ever growing bin of spare parts. Hey, when you're maintaining 4 of these things you've got to have some spare parts. I chose to paint and mount a PT Cruiser body on this Stampede because he likes the PT Crusier so much. This body is designed for a E-MAXX or a T-MAXX, but I think it fits very well on the Stampede. This was my third body I ever did with my airbrush. After the PT Cruiser was retired, he switched to a Ford Sport-Trac body. This body is designed for a E-MAXX or a T-MAXX, but I think it fits very well on the Stampede. This was my third body I did with my airbrush. For more details on how I painted these bodies visit the Paint Shop area of this site.
