50's Chevy Panel Truck with FlamesThis body was to be an experiment with Faschange paint, and therefore the Faschange would be the central point of the body. I started out with an 50's Chevy Panel Body from Pro-line. This body, although designed for a Maxx, will work on a Stampede. However when used on a Stampede this body will require it to be raised up a little more than the stock body height. For the flames I used the Tribal Flame pattern from RCXotic. I printed out the pattern and traced it onto the outside of the body. From there I was easily able to trim the flames out of the liquid masking. A big thanks to RCExotic and the designer of the pattern, Calvin. The design looks like the following, and is available in 1:10 scale at the above link.
![]() I also used the following colors in Faskolor paints. I didn't mark a location for the body posts, since I didn't know exactly where the body posts would be on the recipient vehicle. I brushed on several coats of liquid masking, and then cut the flames out. I painted the edges of the flames with Fasyellow and filled them the rest of the way in with Faswhite. Then I stripped the remainder of the liquid masking off. I used three cardboard templates with various areas cut out of them to help apply the paint for the skulls. Finally I coated the rest of the truck with a light coating of Faschange Blue, and backed it with Fasred. The result was a color resembling a reddish hot pink. However as you turn the body the paint shows blue highlights in it as well.
