LST Crowd Pleazer With Rally StripesIt didn’t take Zac long to trash the F-150 body he had painted. So soon he was looking for a replacement. Ho found it in the form of the LST Crowd Pleazer 2.0 from Pro-Line. He wanted to stay simple, and decided on a rally stripe scheme. The stripes were accomplished using a roll of blue 3M tape, with a width of an inch. This width worked well for the largely-sized body, keeping things simple for him in regards to preparation work. In fact this has to be one of the simplest paint jobs you can do, aside from going the single color route.
I used the following colors. I said this body was an easy paint job, and it is. The first step is to apply the window decals, then follow that up with the asking tape. Two stripes of tape were laid down on the hood, and the top of the body. Then, the inside was sprayed with Faspearl Blue. Once the blue was painted, the tape was removed, and then the stripes were painted with Faspearl White. Following that, the entire body was back in Faswhite. Once the painting was out of the way, I then backed the entire job with clear lacquer to protect the paint from water and nitro fuel. Then I removed the window masking and cut my body post holes and cooling holes. The end result speaks for itself. It’s a simple, yet stunning looking paint job. This is especially true when it’s set against the Cen 55 Series Wheels and tires.
