Our RC Closet

I thought a glimpse into the madness behind the scenes would provide some humor. After a period of time within this hobby, you are presented a dilemma. What do you do with the ever enlarging collection of tools, equipment, and RC's when they are not being used? For me, the solution came in the form of dedicating my home office closet to the hobby.

So allow me to take you through a brief tour. If you're as immersed into the hobby as I am, it just might give you a few ideas. If you're not, it's likely you'll think I'm quite insane. However give the hobby some time, and soon you'll discover thoughts very similar to mine!!!

Here's a picture when first looking into the closet. Shelves neatly organize the T-Maxxes, tools, painting supplies, nitro, and other materials.

This is the left-hand side of the closet. You can see the T-Maxx work stands, air compressor and hoses, motor lathe, and other items. The charger is wired into a drop cord and allows batteries to be charged inside the closet rather than chargers and battery packs cluttering up the house. Notice the shelf above the charger. It's full of tires and wheels, about 6 sets to be exact!!!

This is the right-hand side of the closet. I have our Stampedes hanging from hooks made out of cut clothes hangers. Since the Stampedes are electric, hanging them up in this manner was the most efficient use of space. A nitro would not be as forgiving, due to the oil and grunge that collects on it. You can also see several bodies that are in various stages of completion. Below, out of sight in this picture, is my Wing Tote Pit Bag.

At the top of the closet is the body graveyard. This is the final resting place for our old, retired RC bodies.
