Servo Savers/Servo Horns

Recommended Servo Savers

Many people people prefer to swap out the stock steering servo saver, especially after switching to a metal gear servo. Changing to something other than the Traxxas servo saver can also help extend the life of a plastic gear servo, although it isn't a substitute for a metal gear servo. This is due to the fact that many of the aftermarket servo savers provide better protection than the Traxxas servo saver does.

GS Racing Servo Saver

The GS Racing servo saver is a good choice for a servo saver. It's the favorite of many people because it comes in several different colors. It's very important, with this servo saver, that you buy the correct one for the type of servo you are using. This is due to the fact that it comes in several different configurations, each of which is made to fit a particular type of servo. If you use the wrong one for your application, it will not fit properly.

Kimbrough Servo Savers

The Kimbrough servo savers are used by many with good results. Like the ones offered by GS Racing, they are much more forgiving than the stock Traxxas servo saver. Some of the Kimbrough servo savers are a "one size fits all" approach and come with three inserts just like the Traxxas servo saver so that it can be mated to a variety of servos. Some do not use an insert and require you to order the correct one for your servo.

Traxxas Servo Savers

This is the stock servo saver for the Nitro Stampede. If you are looking for a factory replacement this is the way you'll want to go.

Trinity Servo Savers

The Trinity servo saver is identical to my original GS Racing Servo Saver in that it doesn't use inserts. It's very important, with this servo saver, that you buy the correct one for the type of servo you are using. This is due to the fact that it comes in several different configurations, each of which is made to fit a particular type of servo. If you use the wrong one for your application, it will not fit properly. If you don't like using inserts this is a good option for a servo saver. It is also much tougher than the stock Traxxas servo saver.
