Aerosticks Suspension Links

Testing and Final Thoughts

The Aerosticks suspension links have proved themselves to be a very tough alternative to the stock stainless steel turnbuckles. I'm not surprised, as I could instantly see how tough these were going to be once I pulled them out of their packaging.

There is only one disadvantage to using the Aerosticks suspension links that I can see, and depending upon what you may be after, it may not be much of a disadvantage at all. First of all, while these links are much stronger than the factory ones, they are not indestructible. So it is possible they could break if the situation was exactly right. A stock link under the same conditions may simply wind up bending instead of breaking. Most racers would prefer for the part to break than bend however, so they avoid the chassis being tweaked. Personally I don't feel that's likely they would break, but felt I should point this out.

The positives of the Aerosticks links definitely outweigh the negatives. I think the ability to shed weight, yet provide more strength than stock is most certainly worth it. I do feel that to see the true benefit of the Aerosticks, you should couple them with something other than the stock rod end. I suggest something like these rod ends by Lunsford Racing. The stock ends do not do the Aerosticks justice.

I think the Aerosticks have a very wide appeal for both bashers and racers, as they offer a little something to everyone. In addition, the ability to adjust them without having to remove them is a huge benefit as well, and one that's unique to the Aerosticks. With the ordering options available, finding a way to squeeze them into your budget shouldn't be difficult either. I'd definitely recommend Aerosticks to anyone looking to replace their stock suspension links.
