180 Stand

AJS Machine 180 Stand

Introduction

We've all done it, trying to balance your T-Maxx on a block of wood, wheels, or something else, while trying to replace one of the myriad of items that may need attention. It's times like these when a work stand comes in very handy. There are a lot of work stands on the market, and all do a great job. However if you're looking for strength, durability, and a big "wow" factor, the AJS Machine stand may be just the ticket you're looking for.

This stand itself is built out of 1/8 inch 5052 aluminum, and is tack welded to increase strength. The finish is a very eye pleasing brushed look, and immediately helps set the stand out as a beautiful looking addition to your collection of tools and accessories. The stand is not only built to look good, but it is designed to have a very positive hold on the T-Maxx chassis. This eliminates the truck from moving during those stubborn screw and nut removal sessions, or while tuning.

The stand itself is very impressive but, as infomercial guru Ron Popeil would say, wait there's more. AJS Machine also offers accessories for the stand. One of these accessories is a set of stabilizer feet. While the stand alone is very stable, there is a chance that with a heavy truck such as the T-Maxx, you can turn it over if you are on ground that isn't perfectly level. While this would be annoying when working on the truck, it could be much worse if tuning a running truck while this happened. The stabilizer feet extend the overall width of the stand to around 14 inches, when they are mounted onto the lower area of the stand. This helps add even more stability to the stand in these situations, which helps prevent the stand from tipping over on it's side.

The next accessory for the stand gets major props for it's looks and design. This item is the double sided tool tray. This tool tray, just like the stabilizer feet, is milled out of 1/4 inch 6061 aluminum and when installed really makes the stand look good. However the looks are just the beginning, as this tool tray provides a ton of functionality as well. First of all it's double sided, so no matter which side of the truck you're working on there's always a tray handy. In addition to holding small screws and parts, the tray itself also has several holes around it's perimeter which allow you to place to store your tools for quick and easy access. Another super-cool feature is the fact that 4 of the holes are threaded for glow plugs. This way the elements in the plugs won't get damaged like it might if the plugs were mixed in with the items in the tray.

You just can't get more rugged than this stand, and the extra accessories are an added bonus. In addition AJS Machine has provided the stand alone, or as a complete package with the stabilizer feet and tool tray. If you opt to buy just the stand itself now, you can always go back later and add the accessories should the desire hit you. AJS Machine provides stands to use with the T-Maxx, Savage, and Associated Monster GT. You should keep this in mind when ordering, as each one is made for a specific vehicle.
