Fullforce RC Maxx Lower Braces

Introduction

Are you looking to eliminate chassis flex, and toughen up your Maxx overall? If so, the Fullforce RC lower braces may be just the item you're looking for.

Fullforce has put together an awesome looking set of lower braces for the Maxx trucks. However, there's more there than just looks. Nearly a year of testing went into these braces to achieve a design that offered both a near stock weight and strength. You'll also be pleased to know that the braces themselves are made from T6 7075 aluminum, which is tougher and more durable than the T6 6061 that's commonly offered in the aftermarket world.

It's good to know that the braces are built using aluminum with such strong characteristics. After all the underside of your truck sees a lot of abuse and punishment. However Fullforce didn't stop at just providing you the braces, they also provide you a carbon-fiber skid plate as well. Measuring 2mm thick, this skid plate helps protect the underside of the transmission while also providing even more stability and strength to the braces themselves. Carbon-fiber is tough, and will not bend. Which makes it a great way to help increase the strength of the lower chassis package as a whole.

Fullforce makes a habit of giving you a very complete aftermarket package. Their lower braces are no exception. Not only do you get the lower braces and skid plate, but you also receive all the screws you need to mount the parts on your truck. The hardware isn't bargain basement stuff either. We're talking hardened steel hex head fasteners. So make sure you have a 2.0 and 2.5 mm hex driver handy. You'll need them.

For the weight conscious among you the Fullforce braces/skid plate weigh in at a total of 2.5 oz. without the hardware. The stock braces weigh 1.4 oz, which is a difference of 1.1 oz. However keep in mind that the skid plate is 0.5 oz. in itself, so each brace weighs only 0.3 oz. more than the stock brace it replaces. That's simply amazing, and easily makes these braces some of the lightest I've heard of.

Low weight, good looks, strong design, and an included skid plate, it all adds up to one well rounded package. Fullforce RC has definitely done some homework on this upgrade. On top of all of that the $60.00 price is very competitive when compared to other braces on the market, which makes it a very attractive option.
