Fullforce RC Maxx Lower Braces

Installation

Swapping out the Maxx lower braces is an easy task, that only requires a minimal amount of time. The whole swap is pretty much straightforward, and if you ever replaced a lower brace before you'll find yourself right at home.

It's easiest to do one brace at a time. That way the transmission stays in place. So on one of the braces, remove the 4 transmission screws. Then remove both pairs of skid plate screws.

Once that's done, simply pull the stock brace off and slide the new brace into position.

Next apply some thread lock, such as this thread lock by Devcon, to the small countersunk screws supplied by Fullforce RC. Then thread them into the skid plates holes as indicated, and tighten them down. You'll use four of the supplied socket heads screws, to secure the lower brace to the transmission once again.

Do the same for the other brace.

Next, you'll install the carbon-fiber skid plate. Line the skid plate up correctly as shown below. Notice that when the plate is correctly installed, you can still access all of the screws that hold the transmission and the lower braces together. Use the supplied button head fasteners to secure the skid plate to the lower braces. I would also recommend the use of thread lock on these screws.

Once the skid plate is installed, you're ready to go!
