Fullforce RC Savage Chassis Plates

Testing and Final Thoughts

The Fullforce RC carbon-fiber chassis plates definitely can turn heads with their looks. In addition, they have also provided an extra measure of strength as well. While the plates will flex slightly when they are uninstalled, once they are in place I found that flexing is non-existent. The stock aluminum chassis plates didn’t even offer that!

The braces themselves didn’t go unpunished in testing either. The truck was bashed hard in the backyard, and at the local off-road track. It spend plenty of time in the air, and landed in about every conceivable position it could possibly have landed in. even lately, after a swap to a bigger motor, the chassis plates have taken the brunt of some nasty crashes and show no signs of damage.

During the swap the plates fit well, although you should make sure they are oriented correctly. If they don’t feel as if they are dropping right into place, you’re probably trying to install the plate backwards. Not that I know that from careless experience!

If you’re looking to shed some weight, and add some strength to your Savage, the Fullforce RC carbon-fiber plates are the way to go. Combined with the instantly recognizable look that the carbon-fiber offers, you’ll have a winning combination.
