Fullforce RC Sway Bars

Introduction

Most Maxx owners, especially racers, are always looking for a way to increase the handling of their trucks. If you fall into this category then Fullforce RC has the answer, their Maxx sway bars.

The Fullforce kit comes complete with everything needed to install the sway bars, right down to the screws and L-shaped hex wrench. A first glance it may seem a little daunting, but the diagram provided is easy to follow. Fullforce even provides a walkthrough on their web site. The biggest benefit is the fact that the sway bar helps to increase the cornering ability by helping to tame the roll center of the truck.

I'm used to the normal sway bar approach using in touring cars and some off-road applications. These bars are just that, bars. They are usually made of stiff wire and are mounted at several points. However they are one piece, from end to tend. The Fullforce sway bars do not fit within this same design, and they take a rather more unique approach.

The Fullforce sway bars use the shock tower as the primary moutning point, and tie it to the suspension arms through a vertical rod that ties the suspension arm and the sway bars together. A middle link ties the two sway bar halves together, and makes them act as if they are in unison.

The kit itself comes with everything you'll need to make the conversion, and it's a rather simple conversion as well. It's an excellent way to improve the handling of your Maxx, for only $25.00. I do recommend that you purchase a set for both the front and rear, as you'll receive the best results when both ends of the truck act the same.
