Fullforce RC Holmwrecker's Rear Toe LinksTesting and Final Thoughts
The disadvantages to using the toe-links are few, and depending upon what you may be after, they may not be much of a disadvantage at all. First of all, while these links are stronger than the factory ones, they are not indestructible. So it is possible they will break if the situation was exactly right. However a stock link under the same conditions may simply wind up being bent. Most racers would prefer for the part to break than bend however, so they avoid the chassis being tweaked. So you may or may not consider this a drawback. Due to the fact the graphite shaft is smooth, there is not easy way to adjust the toe, like you see with the stock links. Toe adjustments require that you remove one end of the link from the truck so that you can adjust the rod ends. While it is possible to use a pair of pliers to spin the graphite shaft, I would discourage that. Not only will it scratch the shaft, but over time it could weaken it. Toe adjustments are not made often however, so I don't consider this aspect to be a huge drawback either. The positives of the Fullforce link definitely outweigh the negatives. I think the ability to shed a small amount of weight, yet provide more strength than stock is most certainly worth it. I also think that the rod ends that Fullforce supplies the truck with are much stronger than the one on the factory links as well. Are the Fullforce links for you? That depends upon what you're after. While they are most certainly a worthwhile upgrade for the Maxx, they will probably appeal more to racers due to the lighter weight. However the strength they offer is much better than stock, so the basher has something that will entice them as well. Considering they can be purchased for only $22.00, I think they provide a much better alternative to the stock parts they replace.
