Hudy Basic Tool SetIntroduction
I often see may hobbyists who use a mismatch of various tools, and the approach works well at times. After all, it's not necessary that all the tools look exactly alike. However good quality tools can make a world of difference in how quickly, or easily, you can get your RC vehicle repaired and back onto your favorite stomping ground. A good example of this would be hex wrenches. Many people use the little L-shaped hex wrenches, but I've yet to come across someone that thinks they made a bad decision when they replaced them with a good quality set of hex drivers. This is where Hudy comes in, a name with which anyone involved in the hobby should know very well. Hudy offers a wide variety of tools catered to the RC industry, and these tools are very well respected throughout the industry. The 9 Piece Basic Tool Set is a great kit to get you the majority of what you'll need to work on most RC vehicles, and works nearly perfect for most Traxxas vehicles. What you get:
The Hudy Tool Set is an investment, but so is anything of this caliber of quality. The tools themselves are very lightweight, and the tips are made of very durable spring steel for an extra long life. They will most assuredly last a very long time if used properly, and taken care of. Initially the cost of the set may seem a little steep, as they are priced a little higher than offerings from other manufacturers. However, you get what you pay for in design, fit, and quality. Just like a good mechanic will use professional-caliber tools such as Snap-On, a serious hobbits would do well to consider picking up Hudy tools for at least the essentials.
