RC Raven Maxx Bumpers

Installation

Installing the RC Raven Maxx bumpers are as simple of an upgrade item as you can get. Even a newcomer to the hobby shouldn't be concerned about making this simple swap.

The first step that you'll need to do, is to remove the stock bumpers. Using a 2.0 mm hex wrench, loosen the four screws that secure the bumper to the bumper braces. Notice how worn my stock bumpers are.

This next step is optional, but it's a very good idea to follow it anyway. Because the RC Raven bumpers are flat, and stock bumpers mounting surfaces are concave, the bumper braces don't mate to the new bumpers perfectly. Using a file, sandpaper, or hobby knife, flatten the ends of the bumper braces. This will provide the best possible mounting surface for the new bumper to rest against.

To reinstall the bumpers, simply secure the RC Raven bumper down using the screws you removed from the stock bumpers. While you are working on the bumper area, now would be a good time to check your bumper adjustment. If the bumper braces are set too tight, they will not help absorb the impact when a collision occurs.

Once that is complete, simply replace the bumper on the opposite side of the truck and you're done.
