RD Logics T-Maxx 2.5 CVD's

Testing and Final Thoughts

The RD Logics CVD's have proven themselves to be an extremely tough replacement for the stock axles. They far surpass many other CVD-style axles in quality, and durability, because of the well thought out design and workmanship involved with producing them.

The boots themselves have done an excellent job of keeping out dirt, and I would have no hesitation to use grease under them instead of powdered graphite. Although, on the exposed axle joints, graphite is the preferred way to go as it won't trap dirt and dust. It would be nice if boots were provided for these exposed axle joints, but I imagine this was due to the frequency in which the axles may be removed from the output yoke for general truck maintenance and after-run cleaning.

Throughout all of my testing I have yet to see any problem with the pins or grub screws at the joints loosening, which is a common problem with other CVD-style axles. So based upon what I've seen, I'd have to say that RD Logics has really improved that area substantially over other CVD offerings on the market. I also haven't seen any reduction in shock travel, even with the shocks fully compressed. A definite improvement over other CVD's I've seen as well. It would be nice for them to offer different color boots, so that owners can match the CVD's with the rest of their parts.

In conclusion I can say, without a doubt, that these axles and driveshafts represent the top of the industry. I've been very impressed with the quality, fit, and attention to details that RD Logics has placed into these parts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to replace their stock axles, and with a price tag of $85.00 for a complete set they're an absolute bargain as well.
