Sawtooth RC KnockoffsTesting and Final Thoughts
I will make mention of the fact that the Sawtooth style knockoff is rather sharp is both the looks department as well as physically. So while I had no problems tightening the Tri-Spoke style, I'd advise keeping a cloth handy for the Sawtooth variation. Otherwise they're a little rough on the fingers! As far as personal opinions go, I feel that the Tri-Spoke design matches most spoked wheels better that the Sawtooth design does, but that's solely in the eyes of the beholder. All in all, I think the knockoffs that Sawtooth offers work well for bashing rigs. This is especially true for those of us with aluminum rims, as the knockoffs match the wheel's finish better than the stock wheel nuts. Add to that the ability of being able to remove the wheels easily, without the need to have to dig your wheel wrench out, and the set is easily justified at a price of around $16.00.
