Videos

Below you will find several videos of our trucks in action. I've encoded each video three times, each with a different rate of compression. That way you can choose the download that best suits your bandwidth capability.

Due to many people using desktop shortcuts to repeatedly view the videos over and over, which kills the bandwidth for those that want to download the video, I've placed the files below in a .zip format. Right click the desired file, and choose "Save As...". This will save the file to your hard drive. You can then use a copy of WinZip or similar compression program to extract the video file itself.

The video files themselves are in the .wmv (Windows Media) format. If you find you have problems viewing a file, download the latest copy of Windows Media Player.

Monkey Bottom Raceway Fall/Winter 2005-2006
Soundtrack:
KISS-Heaven's on Fire
This video is all track footage. Some of it is from the club race, while other clips come from some of the many various reviews I’ve been working on. The time frame varies from Fall 2005 to Winter 2006.

Backyard Bashing Spring/Summer 2005
Soundtrack:
Metallica-Master of Puppets
This video contains various clips of our trucks, and some vehicles I reviewed throughout the first half of 2005. I’ve wanted to use this soundtrack in a video for quite some time but I wouldn’t until I could do it justice, with plenty of action. Even with the fact that I shortened the interlude of the song up, it still comes in at over eight minutes. Which is eight minutes of some of the best action to date!

Hobby Park Fall 2004
Soundtrack:
Van Halen-Panama
This video contains footage of several different RC vehicles that were filmed at Hobby Park during the fall of 2004. With all of the jumps the off-road bike course offers, this location is a great place to catch some air as well as some pretty hard landings. This video also marks the debut of Zac's Losi LST, which combines a powerful big block with a plush suspension.

Backyard Bashing Fall 2004
Soundtrack:
Motley Crue-Kickstart My Heart
This video contains footage of several different RC vehicles that were filmed during the fall of 2004. A good portion of the action centers around my curved wooden ramp, but there's plenty of other action as well. In fact, this is probably one of the most action-packed videos to date. If you like jumping, flipping, and crashes, this is the video for you! It should also be mentioned that this video contains the first appearance of Mary's Mayhem in action.

Traxxas Revo-Backyard Bashing
Soundtrack:
Great White-Call It Rock 'N Roll
This contains video shot while doing some bashing behind my parent's house. A good portion of the video consists of me using my newly constructed ramp with the Revo. A new truck, combined with a new ramp, are a deadly combination as shown by a fairly large number of hard landings. However I did manage to land wheels-down a few times, and even pulled off a few flips while doing so. If you look closely, you can even see my exhaust deflector fly off on several occasions!

Traxxas Revo-Hobby Park
Soundtrack:
Offspring-Come Out And Play
In this video, the Revo was taken to Hobby Park for some bashing on the dirt bike trails. I jumped and bashed the Revo hard throughout several sections of the trails and it took everything I gave it in stride, although this bashing session definitely took a toll on the stock body.

Hobby Park June 2004
Soundtrack:
Guns N' Roses-Paradise City
This video consists of footage shot while bashing at Hobby Park in June 2004. Most of the video is centered around one of the big off-road bike jumps, which makes for some big air if hit right. However if the landing is wrong, it can also result in broken parts. This video also marks the first time Zac has been behind the video camera for filming duties, and I think the parts he shot turned out very well. There's a good mix of T-Maxxes, along with an electric Stampede, and an XTM X-Factor 2.
Windows Media Format
Low (8 MB)
Medium (38 MB)
High (68 MB)

XTM X-Factor 2
Soundtrack:
Skid Row-Youth Gone Wild
While working on my XTM X-Factor 2 review for RC Universe, I shot quite a bit of video at a rock pile behind where I work. Since the review videos are usually only a minute or two, I decided to do something else with the remainder of the video that was shot. This is the result, a video containing only the XTM X-Factor 2.
Windows Media Format

Medium (18 MB)

Schumacher Nitro Fusion
Soundtrack:
Sammy Hagar-I Can't Drive 55
While working on my Schumacher Nitro Fusion review for RC Universe, I shot quite a bit of video at Hobby Park and a parking lot for a local community college. Since the review videos are usually only a minute or two, I decided to do something else with the remainder of the video that was shot. This is the result, a video containing only the Schumacher Nitro Fusion. Some of the video is a little shaky, but it's pretty hard to film a car that will do 70+ MPH straight out of the box!

Beach Bashing February 2004 (Part 1)
Soundtrack:
Ozzy Osbourne-Crazy Train
This is the first part of a two part series that uses footage shot while spending a weekend at the beach. We found that the wooden walkway leading to the beach can be especially brutal, as my motor was trashed during the filming of this video. The edge of a motor head getting caught in the gaps between two boards can only result in carnage!!!

Beach Bashing February 2004 (Part 2)
Soundtrack:
Alice Cooper-It's The Little Things
This is the second part of a two part series that uses footage shot while spending a weekend at the beach. Once again the wooden walkway takes it's toll, breaking the motor mount on Zac's T-Maxx.

Backyard Bashing October 2003 (Part 1)
Soundtrack:
Motley Crue-Jailhouse Rock (Live)
This is the first part of a two part series that uses footage shot while bashing behind my parents house in October of 2003. My T-Maxx ended the day early due to a broken tie rod end, and I didn't have a spare on hand. A lot of action, and excellent videotaped action, dominate this video.

Backyard Bashing October 2003 (Part 2)
Soundtrack:
Powerman 5000-When Worlds Collide
This is the first part of a two part series that uses footage shot while bashing behind my parents house in October of 2003. This video contains footage of our electric Stampedes only, and does a good job of showing that nitro trucks aren't the only ones that can cut loose and have some fun.
Windows Media Format
Low (3 MB)
Medium (16 MB)
High (31 MB)

A Stampede of Wheelies
Soundtrack:
Lord Tracy-Piranha
This video focuses solely on our electric Stampedes performing wheelies. It seems there are a lot of people who love to see a Stampede flying around on just it's rear wheels. If you fall into this category, this is one video you don't want to miss. This video contains only electric Stampedes.
Windows Media Format
Low (2 MB)
Medium (11 MB)

Swingset Jumps
Soundtrack:
Van Halen-Jump
Around a year ago, I posted a picture of an interesting jump Zac made off of ramp on a swing set. That shot, and the number of people who loved it, prompted us to set it up again and make a video based on it. Some of the footage for the video was shot in near dark conditions, so some of the clips in the video may be darker than normal. This video contains only electric Stampedes.

Bashing in Boone, North Carolina (Part 1)
Soundtrack:
Judas Priest-You've Got Another Thing Comin'
This is the first part of a four part series that uses footage shot while on vacation in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. This video focuses on miscellaneous footage shot during the bashing sessions and doesn't necessarily focus on any one particular bashing area.
Windows Media Format
Low (6 MB)
Medium (21 MB)
High (40 MB)

Bashing in Boone, North Carolina (Part 2)
Soundtrack:
Tora Tora-Walkin' Shoes
This is the second part of a four part series that uses footage shot while on vacation in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. This video focuses on miscellaneous footage shot during the bashing sessions and doesn't necessarily focus on any one particular bashing area.
Windows Media Format
Low (5 MB)
Medium (18 MB)
High (41 MB)

Bashing in Boone, North Carolina (Part 3)
Soundtrack:
Dokken-Erase The Slate
This is the third part of a four part series that uses footage shot while on vacation. This video focuses on bashing around two large piles of gravel in the area where new condos would soon be under construction.
Windows Media Format
Low (4 MB)
Medium (20 MB)
High (38 MB)

Bashing in Boone, North Carolina (Part 4)
Soundtrack:
Megadeth-Symphony Of Destruction
This is the last part of a four part series that uses footage shot while on vacation. This video focuses on bashing along the side of a steep bank. No one was really trying to reach the top of the bank, as there was a lip at the that would prevent this. However just climbing on the bank itself provided some exciting footage.

Backyard Bashing May 2003 (Part 1)
Soundtrack:
The Cult-Fire Woman
This is the first part of a two part series that uses footage shot while bashing behind my parents house in May of 2003. Much of the video focuses on jumping using a quick ramp make from a couple of sheets of plywood and a garden cart.
Windows Media Format
Low (6 MB)
Medium (29 MB)
High (52 MB)

Backyard Bashing May 2003 (Part 2)
Soundtrack:
Rob Zombie-Demon Speeding
This is the second part of a two part series that uses footage shot while bashing behind my parents house in May of 2003. This video contains similar footage to the first part, but since my Dad was taking pictures with the 35mm, and charging batteries during this time, the video focuses on both Zac and my T-Maxxes.
Windows Media Format
Low (4 MB)
Medium (19 MB)

T-Maxx Break-in and Hobby Park
Soundtrack:
Metallica-Blitzkreig
This is some early footage, the first part of which shows a few final runs of Zac breaking in his T-Maxx.The second part of the video shows us running our T-Maxxes at at local RC park later that day. This video contains only T-Maxxes. It was also the first time my digital camcorder was used, and it's fairly easy to tell we were just getting used to filming with it.

Medium (20 MB)
High (36 MB)
